Our hope is that you feel alive, gorgeous, and have a refreshed sense of confidence and excitement after your photo session with us.
We've been called "the most sought after boudoir studio in the world" and many of our clients fly in or drive quite a bit for their photo shoots.
AND, not to brag, but we were a big part of making boudoir photography popular again...
In 2006 my best friend, Kimberlee Schelling, and I wrote a book about "Bringing Boudoir Back." We were asked to travel the world speaking at huge photography conventions.
Since then The Boudoir Divas have enjoyed hosting workshops and coaching other photographers to create a powerful experience for their clients.

We've had the wildest opportunities, like traveling the world to speak to other photographers about our studio and hosting destination photo shoots in Tulum, Mexico City, Greece, Paris, Peru, Italy, and the Caribbean. (Photographers, we get asked all the time about how we host our destination shoots, so I made a thorough tutorial on just that here).

I've been running my studios for over 20 years with locations in San Diego and Nashville. It's always been my mission to provide a fun and safe space for a woman to feel beautiful, sexy, and alive.
My studio has photographed over 4,100+ women, many of them flying in from all over the world. I even lead international destination trips where we stay in an epic villa and shoot our clients in exotic locations.
I can't take all the credit, my team is amazing.
Some have even been with me since the start of it all 20 years ago!

This is me in this "before and after" ladies! And dang, seeing this non-airbrushed "after" photo made me feel like a bombshell. I want you to experience this.
Do we think you need to run around totally glammed up all the time to be beautiful? No.
But I do know that I almost never get a change to get glammed up and have a photo shoot. And growing up, I was always super shy and a bit insecure. A photo shoot is so helpful for me.
It was my own personal hang-ups and my love for photography that had me create this experience for women 15 years ago!! Now it's your turn!

a note from the owner
Since I was a child I wanted to be a photographer. I have always had such a sense of wonder and imagination. I seek beauty everywhere I go.
I was also a shy, unconfident, and insecure. Into my young adult years things happened in my life to reinforced the negative way I perceived myself.
At 20 years old I found boudoir photography.
From there on I began to photograph new friend after new friend. Helping them see just how truly beautiful they were.
Helping them drop societies ideals and find strength and grace in their own body and mind.
The amazing benefit of that was that I began to have that awakening in myself. Today I am so grateful for the self loving woman I've become.
16 years, and 4000 clients later The Boudoir Divas is a team of women that desire just that. To empower women, help them come alive and find freedom in a mind body connection, and even form a tribe that we travel the world with.

Our veteran client turned dear friend, Kirstie Ennis, visited us about a week before her amputation and then came back after for another shoot.
Since meeting her, her powerful story has helped millions and we've been honored to photograph her journey. Our images were used in People Magazine, and Cosmopolitan Magazine used our studio to film a mini documentary about her journey. She has since been given the Pat Tillman Award and been inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame for her mountaineering.
In 2012, The Boudoir Divas’ owner Marissa Boucher was quoted in an article by Entrepreneur Magazine! The article was about the growing trend in boudoir, and featured a photographer in New York who had attended a Boudoir Divas workshop. Marissa was honored to be interviewed by the Entrepreneur article author, and quoted as an expert in the boudoir industry.
In 2018 Rolling Stone Magazine featured a music video of Angie K that we produced and filmed.
In 2019 CMT, Country Music Television, premiered another music video we produced and filmed called, "Runaway With Me To Tennessee."
Professional Photographers of American and WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers of America) have often featured us in their very popular publications.
Fine Magazine featured us when we moved to the beach!! They did a full spread on our new changes and vision.
